Fewer clothes to
the landfill
Together we make clothes last as long as possible.

At Suitable, our responsibility goes beyond the threshold of when your order is delivered. We like to help you make your clothes last as long as possible. That saves you money and is less harmful to the environment. That's why we work according to the motto: repair, recover, reuse.

Think before
you throw away clothes
The return of the tailor

We want to make men aware that respecting the earth also means wearing our clothes for as long as possible. This is why we work with an experienced tailor.

Customers can come to Suitable to have their clothes altered and repaired. This includes sewing up rips, sewing on buttons, replacing zippers, and renewing trouser pockets. So fewer garments end up in landfills. Furthermore, we gain more insight into the most common complaints so we can improve our collections.

Store your
clothes smartly
Everything for a tidy closet

Many people don't think about it, but the way you store your clothes really makes a difference. If you do this wisely, you'll not only extend the life of your favorite pieces but also keep your wardrobe organized.

  1. Washing and checking

Make sure all your clothes are clean and dry before storing them. Stains, mold, and musty odors attract moths. Also check for damage and repair it immediately. Don't wear something anymore? Donate or recycle!

  2. Folding and ironing

Fold clothes neatly and iron where possible. Do this carefully to minimize wrinkles. For delicate items, such as silk or cashmere, use special hangers to maintain their shape and protect them with clothes covers.

  3. Choose the right storage method

Use sealable containers or clothes covers to protect your clothes. Store everything in a dry, dark place with a stable temperature. Use cedar wood blocks, lavender sachets, or dehumidifiers to repel pests, mold, and moisture.

  4. Clean the closet

Thoroughly clean your closet before hanging your seasonal wardrobe. Use a microfiber cloth and a mild detergent for a fresh start.

  5. Changing seasons? Smart idea!

By putting away clothes from the previous season, you free up space for your current outfits. This provides a better overview and makes your morning routine more relaxed

2
Recycle
your old clothes
Give your old clothes a second life

A better world for future generations can be achieved together. That is why we have entered a partnership with Drop & Loop.

Customers can drop off old or unwanted clothes in our stores via collection bins or at the cash register. These are donated to people who can use them or recycled. The recycled materials are then made into new garments such as, Suitable Loop vests. This is how we achieve circularity, minimizing waste by reusing raw materials as much as possible.
